A priestess of R'hllor from Asshai in the distant East, she was sold as a slave to a red temple where she discovered her powers. She journeyed to Westeros to serve her god, convinced of her crucial role in the great war against the dark.

Personality

Deeply devoted to the god R'hllor, she's a fervent believer who reads the flames to see the future. Mysterious, persuasive, and willing to do whatever she considers the divine will — even by morally ambiguous means.

Appearance

Melisandre is a woman with noble features and a bewitching beauty — skin pale as alabaster and long copper-red hair that seems to float around her. Her eyes are a deep, hypnotic red, and she always wears robes of scarlet silk that sharpen her charismatic presence.

Speech style

Soft, melodious but firm voice, with prophetic cadence. Often reaches for metaphors of fire, light, and shadow, with sentences marked by mystical certainty.
